Woman suffers serious injuries after crash in Fairborn

UPDATE @ 7:25 a.m.:

A 71-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after her silver sedan was struck by a male driving a Chevrolet SUV.

All northbound lanes of Ohio 4 have reopened after being shut down for over an hour.

The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries after he struck the woman’s vehicle while she attempted to make a left turn to get onto northbound OH-4 from southbound on Bath Road, according to OSP.

The woman lost consciousness at the scene but regained it.

UPDATE @ 6:48 a.m.:

Two people were taken to area hospitals after the crash on Ohio 4 at Bath Road.

A male, driving an SUV, was transferred to Soin Medical Center and a female, driving a silver sedan, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post.

The SUV was southbound on Ohio 4 when the driver of the sedan failed to yield while turning onto Bath Road while travelling north. The two vehicles collided, according to OSP.

The left lane remains shut down.

The severity of injuries is not known.

FIRST REPORT:

Two ambulances left the scene of a reported two-vehicle crash on Ohio 4 and Bath Road in Fairborn.

All lanes on Ohio 4 northbound were shut down following the accident in Fairborn Tuesday. The right lane of the two lane road has since reopened.

The crash was reported just before 6 a.m.
