UPDATE @9:58 a.m. A woman is in jail on an OVI charge after police said she caused a crash that resulted in another car crashing into a Kettering home early Thursday morning.
Cecilia Periman, 27, remains in the Kettering jail this morning.
Police said Periman’s white Chevrolet struck a red vehicle at the intersection of David and Bigger roads. The crash sent the red vehicle into the front door of a house on David Road.
The driver of the red vehicle was trapped and taken to a local hospital.
Those inside the home were not injured.
UPDATE @ 3:08 a.m: One individual was arrested after they were found driving under the influence of alcohol, causing another vehicle to crash into a Kettering home.
The driver of a white Chevy was going westbound on David Road when it struck a red vehicle going southbound on Bigger Road early Thursday morning.
One female driver of the red vehicle was trapped for a small amount of time after her vehicle crashed into the house.
“We do believe alcohol was a factor for the driver of the white car in the crash and the driver was arrested for an OVI”, said one Kettering police officer.
The female driver was transported to Kettering Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to officials.
No one inside the house was injured due to the crash and residents were allowed to go back in after firefighters conducted a safety check.
Kettering police continue to investigate the incident.
Crews responded to a two vehicle crash that ended up with one vehicle crashed into a house early Thursday morning.
The incident, involving a red car and a white car, occurred on Bigger Road at E. David Road in Kettering just after 1:20 a.m.
The red vehicle went through the front door of a nearby house on the street, according to our crew. In addition, one individual was taken away from the scene in handcuffs by police.
No word on if anyone involved suffered injuries or how the crash occurred.
