North Dixie Highway reopens after two-vehicle crash results in vehicle on its side

North Dixie Highway has reopened after two-vehicle crash resulted in one vehicle rolling onto its side and another going through a guardrail Friday morning.

A commercial vehicle on Pennyroyal Road hit a second vehicle and went through a guardrail and down an embankment after its brakes failed, according to Franklin police.

The second vehicle rolled onto its side as a result.

The driver of the commercial vehicle and the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were all taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident was first reported around 8:50 a.m. and North Dixie Highway reopened shortly after 10:30 a.m.
