The car struck a power pole and a tree. The pole snapped in half and it’s hanging from the power lines.

Alcohol is suspected in the crash, George said.

Both directions of Gettysburg Avenue are currently shut down. The northbound lane will reopen as soon as the wrecked vehicle is removed. The southbound lane will reopen after Dayton Power and Light crews replace the pole, George said.
