Warming centers open at local facilities

Warming centers opened in the Dayton area as frigid temperatures continue.

Temperatures are only expected to reach the high 20s Saturday, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Jesse Maag.

Several facilities in the area are open to those who need a place to go to get out of the cold.

The Civic Center will be open as necessary during frigid weather. If the center is not open, you should go to the fire department for assistance, according to a representative for the Gerhardt Civic Center.
