There were 29 accidents at Salem Avenue at Philadelphia Drive, and 27 at North Main Street at Siebenthaler Avenue.

Dayton police said most auto crashes arise from speeding, running red lights and distracted driving.

The program is mainly focused on various intersections along North Main Street and Wayne Avenue.

“This campaign will include three aggressive driving awareness blitzes,” said Dayton police Major Wendy Stiver.
