As food and dining reporter Mark Fisher wrote earlier this month, the restaurant was forced to push its opening date back to early 2018. It had planned to open in summer of 2017.
When it does open, the tavern will be a second location for the folks behind the popular Troll Pub Under The Bridge bar and restaurant in Louisville, Ky.

The pub is trying to secure licenses to serve beer, wine and liquor.
“A big part of our business is beer -- we’ve got 32 taps. We’re not going to open without a beer license,” Troll Pub General Manager Ben Barker told Fisher. “I don’t think we’ll have an issue securing a license, and I don’t think it will affect our opening.”

The restaurant is also waiting for the city of Dayton to approval its architectural plan.
Its troll game is going strong, though.
