Snow showers taper off overnight, refreeze possible Tuesday morning

A Winter Weather Advisory has been canceled by the National Weather Service. It had been scheduled until 2 p.m. Tuesday.

OVERNIGHT: Snow showers taper to scattered flurries, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Total snow accumulation is around 1 inch or less; a few spots could see up to 2 inches, mainly northeast of Dayton. Temperatures will drop into the lower 20s with gusty winds developing with wind chills dropping into the single digits by morning.

Tuesday: Skies will be mostly cloudy with blustery, windy conditions. A few snow showers or flurries will be possible with some blowing snow. High temperatures will be near 30 degrees with wind chills in the teens at times.

Wednesday: A chilly day is in the forecast with a mix of sun and clouds. It will be blustery with highs near 30 degrees and wind chills in the teens to lower 20s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny skies return and it won't be quite as cold. Highs will reach into the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.

Friday: There is a chance for a wintry mix early in the day, quickly changing to rain showers by late morning into the afternoon. Temperatures will start in the middle 20s but climb into the middle 40s by afternoon.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy skies are expected during the day with highs in the middle 40s
