Cleaning worker charged with theft from Centerville gym

A 25-year-old Dayton woman is facing felony charges after she stole credit cards while she was cleaning the LA Fitness location in Centerville, according to police.

Erianna L. Carpenter was charged Wednesday with three counts of felony theft following the reported crime, which was said to have happened on June 8 at the location, 45 West Alex Bell Road, according to Centerville police

Carpenter is currently housed in the Montgomery County Jail, where she is being held on a parole violation, according to jail records.

In 2015, Carpenter was charged with forgery, but was not convicted and was instead ordered to a treatment center in lieu of conviction in that case.

Centerville police said it is important to remember to lock up your personal items when you go to the gym to prevent crimes similar to this one from happening.

Carpenter's case will now be presented to a Montgomery County Grand Jury, according to police.
