Woman convicted 2nd time in Ohio husband's death

IRONTON, Ohio (AP) -- A woman granted a new trial in the 2006
death of her estranged husband at his Ohio home has been convicted
a second time.
The Ironton Tribune reports a Lawrence County jury on Friday
found 31-year-old Megan Goff guilty of murder in the death of Bill
Goff, who was shot 15 times in the head and torso.
The defense argued Goff suffered from battered woman syndrome
and acted in self-defense. She testified that her husband had
threatened her life and the lives of their children.
Goff's earlier conviction was vacated in December by the Ohio
Supreme Court over testimony regarding a psychological exam.
Goff had previously been convicted of aggravated murder and
sentenced to 33 years to life in prison. She now faces a sentence
of 18 years to life in prison.
