Woman in court for stalking corrections officer

A 33-year-old woman attempted today to plead not guilty to a felony-level stalking charge, but the judge would not allow it in the misdemeanor court.

Vandalia Municipal Court Judge Cynthia Heck set a $25,000 bond for Jamie Calloway. The case against Calloway — who has a tattoo of the word “God” on her forehead — has been featured on Huffington Post and Rader Online websites.

She was arrested Sunday night for menacing by stalking and remains in the Montgomery County Jail. She is accused of stalking her own corrections officer.

A misdemeanor-level menacing by stalking charge was dismissed on Tuesday at the request of the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, Heck said.

According to The Smoking Gun, a Montgomery County sheriff’s office spokesman said “Calloway 'took a liking to’ the corrections officer during one of her stints in jail. Calloway allegedly slashed the woman’s tires, called her at her house and sent her packages in the mail.”

Calloway is a YouTube personality, going by the alias “Jamie Godhead Platinum.” She has posted videos of herself ranting and displaying verses of the bible, according to Huffington Post.com.

Christine Lovato, who identified herself Tuesday as Calloway’s mother, told the Dayton Daily News her daughter has been misjudged because of the tattoo. She said Calloway “believes in the Lord” and the only statement she was trying to make by getting the tattoo was spiritual in nature.

“If she’s going to be crucified just because she has 'God’ on her forehead, that’s wrong,” Lovato said. She added that the stalking case was only brought back up because she happened to “get a house around the corner” from the officer.

“It’s a coincidence,” she said. “She didn’t know where she lived ... I think she was wrongly arrested this time.”

The court will appoint an attorney to represent Calloway. Her next court appearance will be May 7.
