Worker killed on Webster St Monday identified

The worker killed at a Webster Street worksite Monday has been identified as 40 year old Kevin Hughes of South Bloomingsville, Ohio.  Police say Hughes was killed when a steel roof support beam fell on him.  Hughes was one of four men working to tear down a vacant commercial building in the 1500 block of Webster Street.  Investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are looking into the accident to determine whether there were any violations of the OSHA act and exactly what lead up to the accident.  The city of Dayton says there is no record of a demolition permit for that building on file.
