Medical condition blamed in crash near Dayton Mall

A medical condition or emergency is being blamed for a multiple-vehicle accident on Miamisburg Centerville Road (state Route 725) that snarled the evening rush-hour traffic near the Dayton Mall.

Miamisburg police said the man who suffered the condition has been taken to a hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

His car caught fire in the accident, but the flames were quickly extinguished, police said.

Police and a rescue crew were dispatched just after 5 p.m.

The driver of a truck that was hit in the accident was not injured.
