The 10th annual Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Army and Air Force Exchange Service Pet Show will be held May 4.

Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m. with the show itself running from about 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. outside the Class Six and Home and Garden Store, Kittyhawk Center, Area A, if the weather is fine. The show will move inside if it rains, and the event is free.

The festivities will include vendors, animal rescue organizations and related groups. Attendees may enter in several different categories like largest, smallest, best trained and most exotic with their cat, dog or exotic pet. The Home and Garden Center also plans a number of promotions in the pet department.

88th Air Base Wing military working dogs will give a demonstration. Veterinarians from the base veterinary clinic will be on site to answer any general pet health-related questions.

First- through third-place winners will receive prizes and may compete in the Best in Show category.

Food will be available from a local food truck.
