The Pickaway County sheriff's office says the boy was driving a go-cart that collided with a motorcycle Saturday afternoon at Circleville Raceway Park, about 25 miles south of Columbus. He was flown to a Columbus hospital, where he died.
The motorcycle driver suffered an ankle injury and was treated at the scene.
The sheriff's office did not release the boy's name or information about the motorcycle driver.
A man who answered the phone at the raceway Sunday said it was open and that its owners would not comment on the crash as the investigation continued.
