A 20-year-old man is facing multiple charges that say he drugged and raped someone in Greene County back in May.

A Greene County grand jury has indicted Michael Mendola Gentile, of Yellow Springs, on four counts of rape, one count each of sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, corrupting another with drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, according to a release from the Greene County Prosecutor's Office.

The charges stem from an incident that happened May 22, according to the indictment. The defendant raped the victim and "knew or had reasonable cause to believe that the other person's ability to resist or consent was substantially impaired," according to the indictment.

The indictment alleges that the defendant was in possession of Oxycontin, and that he provided or administered a controlled substance to a juvenile who is at least two years younger than him.

Gentile was arrested by Yellow Springs police on Tuesday and is being held in the Greene County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
