Fitness in the Park, a popular outdoor event held at RiverScape MetroPark, will go virtual this month.

Each summer the fitness classes draw hundreds to the pavilion at the park in downtown Dayton.

It’s important to keep moving during the coronavirus pandemic and MetroParks is encouraging the community to lace up their shoes and pull out their yoga mats.

Virtual Yoga in the Park will be led by Tori Reynolds of Speakeasy Yoga.

The free hour-long class will be held Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, May 23 at 9:30 a.m.

Virtual Cardio Dance in the Park will be led by Meghan Millat of Fit N Fruitful.

The free 40-minute classes will be held Saturday, May 16 and Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m.

Links to the fitness videos will be sent out closer to the date and can be accessed on the RiverScape Facebook page.

Fitness in the Park is Presented by Kettering Health Network and supported by AARP Ohio, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, and Horan and Associates.
