Investigators said the armed man walked into the bank demanded money and then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Police said they found some loose bills in a yard east of the bank on North Tippecanoe Drive.
Officers said they believe the robber ran to an awaiting car. He is described as a white male, wearing a blue jacket, black stocking cap and what Sergeant Chris Graham said was "a pair of red boots" as described by a bank employee. He's 5 foot 11 inches in height and 180 to 190 pounds.
Police said a man matching the same description was possibly seen in another bank in town 15 minutes before the U.S. Bank robbery.
