Man burning books starts wildfire in Florida

At least 10 structures have been destroyed in a wildfire in Nassau County, Fla. Wednesday.

Officials say the fire was caused by a man burning books Wednesday afternoon. Burning household garbage is illegal in Florida.

The fire has burned an estimated 350 to 400 acres. Emergency and firefighting crews from multiple agencies worked throughout the night.

Evacuations have been ordered as a precaution.

"I'm fixin' to lose, everything that we have, that we worked hard for. There are a lot of things that we won't be able to replace. Pictures, furniture that was my grandmother’s and my grandchildren pictures and things. Just a lot of stuff,” said Beverly Thomas, fire victim.

Luckily, Florida Forest Service officials say the fire is no longer spreading.
