2 Miami Valley residents killed in Kentucky crash

A New Carlisle teenager and a Logan County woman were killed in a crash early this morning on Interstate 71 in Carroll County, Ky.

Ashton Hepburn, 19, a 2014 graduate of Tecumseh High School, and Nikki Vicory, 29, of Lakeview in Logan County, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on northbound I-71 at the 39 mile marker, according to a release from Kentucky State Police.

Police said Hepburn and Vicory were passengers in the vehicle driven by Rebecca Horsley, 21, of Columbus, when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned.

Police said Hepburn and Vicory were not wearing seat belts and were ejected in the crash. Horsley was hurt and taken to Carroll County Hospital then taken by a medical helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
