One reason for the move is an “unexpected increase in interest in the establishment of businesses offering massage services within the city,” Miamisburg records show.

The moratorium “will allow city council time to accomplish the city’s goals and help ensure the public peace, health, safety and welfare of its citizens is preserved,” according to the legislation.
The move follows the city of West Carrollton last week approving stronger guidelines for businesses offering massage services. West Carrollton police asked city council to make it a crime for employees who give massages without being licensed by the state of Ohio.
Miamisburg City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Miamisburg Civic Center, 10 N. First St.
