Middletown man dies in crash on I-75 in Kentucky

A Middletown man died Sunday night in a crash on Interstate 75 in Kentucky.

Eric B. Calhoun, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to Kentucky State Police.

The report of the three-vehicle crash came at 9:46 p.m. on northbound I-75 near the 68 mile marker in Rockcastle County, 54 miles south of Louisville.

Jenny Calhoun, of Ohio, was driving north in a 2015 Dodge Dart and approaching an area of slowed traffic behind a Dodge pickup truck driven by Alicia Jabrowski, of Indiana, according to Trooper Dackery Larkey, a KSP traffic crash re-constructionist.

Philip Terry, of Tennessee, who was driving a 2018 KIA directly behind Calhoun, was unable to stop for the area of slowed traffic, and his vehicle struck the Dodge Dart from behind, Larkey determined.

That vehicle was knocked into the backend of Jabrowski’s Dodge, killing Calhoun, who was a passenger, officials said.
