Hartsock also hosts the "Mike Kelly Show" and the "Brian Gregory Show". Friday nights in the fall, Mike can be found in Chopper 7 checking out local high school football games for his "Touchdown 7" report at 11:00pm. In the winter, the scene shifts indoors, but he action continues with "Tip Off 7".
An avid golfer, Mike has served as Chairman for several area charity golf tournaments.
Born in Dayton and raised in Waynesville, Mike graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1977 with a BA in Broadcasting Communications.
Upon graduation, he went to WPFB Radio in Middletown as a news reporter, and also did play by play of area high school and college sports.
In 1979, Hartsock moved to WHIO Radio, once again covering news and sports.
Mike's TV career began in 1980, when he joined the NewsCenter 7 Team as a news reporter and a substitute anchor. The move to sports came in 1982, and Mike was soon putting his love for sports to work on a daily basis.
In addition to anchoring and reporting, Mike also is the host of "High Q", a weekly scholastic competition among Miami Valley High Schools.
Hartsock is married to former WKEF Meteorologist Janet McGill. He is the proud father of Jessica Hartsock. Mike and Janet live in Centerville.
