Military Man Honored In Building Dedication

A military man who made the ultimate sacrifice was honored in a special way.

The Operations Building for the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was dedicated to Maj. Leroy Homer Jr. in a ceremony on Saturday morning.

He served as first officer on United Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001, when terrorists hijacked the plane.

The passengers fought back and the plane crashed in Pennsylvania. The plane was apparently headed to the Capitol or the White House.

Maj. Homer has received many post-humus awards.
