More than 1,600 ads posted for jobs at four area universities

A new state jobs report out this month shows that universities in southwest Ohio are looking to fill more than 1,600 open positions.

From May 14 to June 13, there were at least 1,660 jobs posted online at four southwest Ohio universities, according to a monthly report from Ohio Means Jobs. The report detailed the employers with the highest number of job ads posted online in each region of Ohio.

The University of Cincinnati had the most job ads posted of any employer, with 960 open positions posted. UC Health, which include’s the school’s college of medicine, also has 162 openings posted, according to Ohio Means Jobs.

Miami University in Oxford had the third most jobs listed of any employer in the region with 550 ads, according to the report.

Wright State University in Fairborn had 81 job ads posted while the University of Dayton had 69 positions posted, the report showed.

In Columbus, Ohio State University had 298 job ads online while OSU’s Wexner Medical Center had 100 open jobs listed.

Columbus State Community College had 99 positions posted, according to the report.
