Mother Of Teen Who Died In Brookville Lake Files New Lawsuit

The mother of a Centerville, Ind., teenager who was killed in an accident at Brookville Lake is filing a new lawsuit.

Trey Kidwell, 17, died last summer after he drover off a ramp into the lake. His mother has filed a civil suit against the state of Indiana and Union County, where the accident happened.

The suit does not ask for a specific amount of damages. It alleges that the county and state failed to provide adequate warning that Old 101 ended at a boat ramp at the lake.

After Trey’s death, flashing lights and a stop sign were installed at the boat ramp.
