Atlanta Federal Penitentiary employee found dead tested positive for coronavirus

Grubbs was found dead at her home on Tuesday. Her last day that she worked at the prison was last Friday."She had been successfully screened prior to entry and was asymptomatic," a news release said.

"Robin was a dedicated employee whose efforts sought to improve the lives of inmates and her fellow staff. She was promoting into a new reentry role in the agency which would have prepared her for future leadership opportunities. Robin will be sorely missed by her Bureau family," prison warden William Woods said.

The Atlanta Federal Penitentiary is a medium security facility that houses 2,030 male offenders.
