Coronavirus: MGM to temporarily stop buffets in Las Vegas

A staple of the Las Vegas strip is closed because of coronavirus fears.

MGM has announced that it is temporarily closing the iconic buffets at all Las Vegas Strip casinos, The Associated Press reported.

The buffets will close Sunday at Aria, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Luxor and Excalibur.

Company officials will reevaluate the plan every week, saying that the measure was done out of an abundance of caution and not directed by health officials, the AP reported.
