A Nebraska girl whose dance competition was canceled still managed to practice her routine -- with her father, a Nebraska state trooper.

A Nebraska state trooper was a hero to a daughter in need.

The coronavirus outbreak and social distancing have caused the cancellation of many activities. In Nebraska, Trooper Tyler Kroenke’s daughter’s dance competition season was canceled, but studio officials challenged the dancers to teach a parent some steps to stay sharp.

Kroenke was only too happy to oblige, waltzing into the challenge and delivering some moves of his own as he danced with his daughter to the strains of Bonnie Tyler's "I Need A Hero," KETV reported.

"After Lt. Kroenke's daughter's dance competition season was postponed, her dance studio challenged the dancers to teach a parent part of a dance as a way to continue practicing. Lt. Kroenke is a great sport and happily participated." the Nebraska State Patrol tweeted.

The video of the dancing duo has gone viral and has been viewed more than 145,000 times.
