This is not the first time the side of the mountain has been used as a backdrop. It's part of a series of projections by artist Gerry Hofstetter, Fox News reported.
Last month the word “#hope” was projected on it. Other images include flags from other countries hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Matterhorn is part of a portion of the Swiss Alps along the border of Switzerland and Italy, according to the CIA World FactBook. It is 14,692 feet tall.
