Georgia soldier charged with child molestation, sodomy after meeting boy for sex, police say

A Georgia soldier is behind bars after authorities said he had sex with an underage boy.

According to WJCL-TV, Chatham County police arrested 21-year-old Nicholas Fontana, a soldier with Fort Stewart's 3rd Infantry Division, on felony child molestation and sodomy charges March 4.

Police said they discovered Fontana and a minor, who initially falsely claimed to be 28 years old, behind an Ogeechee Road business, WJCL reported. The minor later confirmed that he was underage and said the pair met to have sex after connecting via the app Grindr, authorities said.
