A 22-year-old grocery store bagger won a $70-million lottery drawing from a ticket he purchased at the store where he worked.

Gregory Mathieu, a bagger at a grocery store in Quebec, arrived Wednesday, checked his ticket and learned he won the largest payout ever awarded by the lottery, CTV reported.

Mathieu plans to share his winnings with seven members of his family, officials said.

He called his mother when he first found out he won.

"We are a very close-knit family, and I am thrilled that we are able to experience this life-changing moment together," mother Sandra Julien said in a statement.

They plan to take a family vacation together. Other winners plan on buying a new car and traveling.
