An Indiana woman has received a 70-year prison sentence in connection with the death of her girlfriend’s 19-month-old son.

According to WNDU-TV, Tearra Montgomery, of Mishawaka, was found guilty last month of felony neglect and battery charges in the August 2018 death of the toddler, Zyon Harris.

Authorities said Montgomery was taking care of the boy Aug. 11, 2018, when she threw him at a wall, fracturing his skull, the South Bend Tribune reported. Montgomery said she then suffocated the child using a robe, according to court documents.

Zyon later died at a nearby hospital, authorities said.
