Police said Silva exited the vehicle and attempted to leave the scene of the accident, but was stopped by citizens who witnessed the crash, the television station reported. La Barrie's brother, Jarrad La Barrie, confirmed his sibling's death in an Instagram post Monday.
"This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, I don't how I'm supposed to do this without you," Jarrad La Barrie wrote. "I miss you so much already, this isn't fair."

La Barrie had more than 330,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 200,000 followers on Instagram, People reported. In a series of Instagram Story posts Sunday, La Barrie drank champagne to celebrate his birthday and listened to "Birthday Song" by 2 Chainz, according to the magazine.
