Kentucky woman with coronavirus arrested at Kroger after defying quarantine for third time

A Kentucky woman who tested positive for the coronavirus defied isolation orders and was arrested on Monday for failing to self-quarantine after going to a grocery store, police said.

Police said it is the third time Kendra Burnett, 37, has refused to abide by quarantine orders, the Lexington Herald Leader reported.

Surveillance video shows that Burnett made contact with at least five people as she walked through a Louisville Kroger around 9 a.m., WDRB reported. It is unclear if Burnett was wearing a mask. Police said there were about 200 shoppers and employees in the store at the time.

Burnett kicked out a rear taillight and the interior door handle, investigators said.

Burnett was arrested and charged with five counts of wanton endangerment, contempt of court and criminal mischief, WHAS reported.
