Xochitl Rodriguez and her mother Kristie Rodriguez had everything planned when the virus forced the shutdown of most of the country.
But on April 21, Xochitl became an adult, and had a drive-by quinceañera, celebrating together, but staying apart from one another, NBC News reported.

And she’s not alone.
Guadalupe, whose last name was not provided, stood outside her home in her blue gown, and was celebrated by not only her friends and family but also the South San Francisco police and fire departments who paraded in front of her home, honking horns and dropping off presents, KRON reported.
Guadalupe saw friends and family, some she hadn't seen for months, drive past her home, KNTV reported.

In Pasadena, Texas, Avery Montalvo was supposed to have her party on May 2, but her traditional quinceañera was canceled because of the virus. Thanks to her mom's Facebook post, word got out and Avery was surprised by friends, family and the neighborhood for her 15th birthday, KTRK reported.
More than 50 cars rolled through her neighborhood last month, Midland Daily News reported.
