The shop is the brainchild of partners Brian Ernst and Laura Gorham of Kettering, who told this outlet they are transitioning from other careers — Ernst in ineterior design, Gorham in teaching — to launch Epic Coffee Shoppe together.
The shop will serve several artisan coffee drinks as well as ice cream, and one of its signature offerings will be “Affogato” — an Italian-style coffee drink consisting of a scoop of ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso, Ernst said.

“We’re shooting for the end of October” to open, Gorham said.
