New fitness center opening at Austin Landing

A new pilates-focused fitness center will open at Austin Landing within the first quarter of next year.

This will be the second Club Pilates location in Miami Twp., both owned by Jeff and Lisa Shumway. When deciding where to open an additional location, the couple said Austin Landing was the only destination, according to a statement from the outdoor shopping center.

“It’s the place to be and there is lots of synergy with the other healthy lifestyle businesses. We want to accomplish similar goals, so we’re looking forward to a great partnership with our neighbors and the development,” the statement release said, quoting the couple.

The boutique Pilate’s studio specializes in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. The fitness concept plans to open toward the end of the first quarter in 2019 between Orangetheory Fitness and Cycle Bar on Rigby Road, but will offer pre-sales to gift give for the holidays.
