New Mediterranean restaurant now open in Riverside

The Al-Mandi Restaurant & Cafe has opened at 3937 Linden Ave. across from the Eastown Shopping Center in Riverside.

The space previously housed Antojitos Criollos Puerto Rican restaurant.

Al-Mandi serves Middle Eastern specialties such as kebabs, shawarma and falafel, as well as American dishes such as wings, chicken tenders and fried fish.

The restaurant owned by Zane Hamdan and Abdul Shuker seats 25 to 30 and employs seven, according to Hamdan, who has lived in Dayton for 18 years.
