3 new restaurants coming to Dayton

A new tenant will be leasing space at University Shoppes across from Wright State University in June. Don Patron, a Mexican-style restaurant with a full-service bar plans to open its doors around June 14. The restaurant will be nestled between Flying Pizza and First Watch.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers 

This fast-casual burger and dessert restaurant plans to open a location on Wilmington Pike in Centerville. This is the first local location for this company, although they have two locations in the Cincinnati area with three more on the way. The restaurant plans to open during mid-summer.

The Old Bag of Nails Pub  

This Columbus chain will serve traditional “pub grub” such as burgers, clam chowder, and its signature dish: Fish & Chips. The owner, Mike Purdum, told Dayton Daily News’ Mark Fisher, “We signed a 21-year lease,” at Cross Pointe Shopping Center in Centerville. The restaurant plans to start building in the next week or two and hopes to be done by the first of September, according to Purdum.

In addition to these restaurants coming to the Dayton area, Cheddar’s Casual Café’s doors are set to open Monday, June 20.
