New sandwich shop coming to Troy

TROY — A new Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches shop is coming to 1888 W. Main St. in Troy.

Jimmy John’s spokeswoman Mary Trader confirmed that the store “will be opening in the late spring” but declined to answer questions about the restaurant’s hours, the number of employees it expects to hire, or other details. “I would be happy to set up an interview with the franchisee once the shop is open, and those questions could be answered at that time,” Trader said in an email.

Tim Davis, planning and zoning manager for the city of Troy, said his office has approved occupancy and signage permits for the new restaurant.

According to the company’s web site, Jimmy John’s operates three restaurants in the Dayton area: on Brown Street near the University of Dayton, on Miamisburg-Centerville Road near the Dayton Mall, and on North Main Street/Ohio 741 in Springboro.
