Vogt said after the Guardians' 5-0 victory that Lively would have more tests on Tuesday.
“He dealt with it a little bit last year and then his last start in Washington (on May 6) was dealing with it. That’s why we got him out of there early. We just wanted to be safe and get him out of there,” Vogt said.
Jakob Junis came in for Cleveland. Lively allowed no runs and one hit with two walks and a strikeouts.
Lively is 2-2 with a 3.22 ERA in 10 starts this season. He has allowed only one run in 14 innings in three May starts.
