Oxford restaurant, bar shuts down

45 East Bar & Grill, 45 E. High St., notified employees Monday via text message and email that a lease with the building owner expires this summer and that they unsuccessfully attempted to negotiate an extension, according to a message posted to social media.

“Accordingly, we will be shutting down effective immediately to give appropriate time to get the building cleared out,” reads the letter from co-owner Will Weisman.

“In the meantime, we have been searching for other potential locations that will allow us to position the business for the long term,” the letter stated.
