The rate increases will help to improve other airport services, Dayton International Airport Director Terry Slaybaugh said in a statement.
“These changes will support the long-term goals of the airport while we continue to improve our service,” Slaybaugh said. “Once travelers experience how convenient parking on the airport property is, they’ll continue to think of the Dayton International Airport first every time they travel.”
Recent changes to the airport include a concierge service, a new nonstop flight and millions in proposed renovations.
Dayton International Airport had a rough year in 2017, when Southwest Airlines cancelled service to and from the hub. Still, the hub has managed to maintain its numbers despite the loss of Southwest, pulling in 70,361 enplanements in January compared with 70,690 in the same month of 2017 when Southwest was still servicing the airport.
