Piqua Used Car Dealer Indicted For Theft By Deception

Piqua Police said Sam W. Irvin, Jr., doing business as Anything On Wheels, was recently indicted on a 23-count indictment accusing him of theft by deception.

In a multi-jurisdiction investigation, officials said the crimes are related to the sale of extended warranties for cars purchased at the dealership when no warranty was ever delivered to the car owner, according to Piqua Police Chief Wayne Willcox.

Anything On Wheels was closed as of Feb. 2007 when the used car dealer, located at 5450 N. County Road 25-A, Piqua, lost its license through the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles as the result of the investigation.

If you have a question contact Piqua police detective Marty Grove at 778-2027, or Special Investigator Billie Ray at the Miami County Auto Title Department at 332-6807.
