Herbert “Cowboy” Howard, who lives in Haywood County, North Carolina, uttered the chilling line ““He’s got a real pretty mouth, ain’t he?” in “Deliverance” to a terrified Jon Voight.

Howard, who turned 80 on Aug. 21, said he worked at Ghost Town, a Wild West-themed amusement park in North Carolina, with Reynolds. He said knowing Reynolds helped him get the role as the villainous toothless man in “Deliverance.”
