Probe of animal shelter continues

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio--The investigation into a local facility that cares for dogs continued on Friday.
Humane Society Executive Director and Chief Dog Warden, James Straley and his staff of volunteers are continuing to work at the 8393 Lower Valley evaluating the hundreds of animals and providing any necessary medical attention.
The Clark County Humane Society is continuing their investigation of the One More Chance Rescue located at 8393 Lower Valley Pike in Bethel Township.  A criminal warrant was issued yesterday at 11:00 a.m.  The Clark County Board of Helath declared the Last Chance Rescue facility a public nuisance Thursday night.
Officials list the current count of animals at 361 living dogs, 16 dead and 15 cats.  The goal of the Clark County Humane Society is to evaluate the individual needs of each animal and determine how to proceed once the process is complete.
The Clark County Humane Society has established a rescue fund with the help of the United Way of Clark County to handle donations. Officials say 100% of the proceeds will go to supporting the medical needs and supplies of the animals involved in this rescue.  You may make a donation by cash or check at Security National Bank. Credit or debit card contributions will not be accepted
