Large gatherings pose a significant risk of spreading coronavirus and can endanger the community at large, according to public health.
Though homes are exempt from a state public health order limiting gatherings to 10 people, public health still advises against hosting large gatherings.
If you are hosting people at your home, public health suggests taking the following actions:
- Limit gatherings to no more than 10 people
- Keep a list of names and contact information for all guests
- Keep the event as short as possible
- Have the event outside
- Wear masks while near others, including when outside
- Keep at least 6 feet away from others
- Do not share drinking cups or eating utensils
- Do not provide shared food items or buffets
