Rescue crews locate body in Clark County lake after teen doesn’t resurface

The body of a teenager who went swimming with friends at Buck Creek has been recovered, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said. The reportedly swimming with friends went under the water and did not resurface, officials said Tuesday evening.

A frantic search for the 18-year-old ensued. Initially, people formed a human chain to find him.

Later, an Ohio Department of Natural Resources boat was in the water and first responders used sonar in an attempt to find the teen.

Officials called in an underwater rescue and recovery team.
