Residents Seek To Fight PermaFix Again

People living in one part of the Miami Valley are gathering more information for a fight against a company that they want out of their neighborhood.

Residents living in Jefferson Township asked the board of trustees for documents and records that deal with PermaFix, which is a waste management company.

They said some of the documents date back 15 years. Residents said they do not like the company in their neighborhood and want it gone.

Two years ago, neighbors in Jefferson Township fought PermaFix and won keeping hydrolisate, a by-product of VX, out of the neighborhood and out of the county’s wastewater system.

The residents hope to begin building a case against the company with the new documents.
